- Product revision
- CS-MATTRESS-2026-08-A
Internal engineering test — not an EN, ASTM, CPSC or medical certification.
What are we testing?
What happens to the neighbouring sleeping surface when a 70, 90 or 120 kg adult load is applied?
Why this test matters
- An adult can create local compression, slope and roll-together tendency near a smaller sleeper.
- The Danish Health Authority specifically notes a heavier adult can create a depression an infant may roll towards.
- No crib-mattress standard evaluates adjacent adult loading on a shared surface.
Method basis
Co-sleeping.com internal family-bed protocol. This test does not simulate an infant and establishes no medical risk threshold — it measures the mattress system under representative distributed adult loads.
Protocol
Protocol under development together with third-party test laboratories.
